What a weekend it has been! After hosting my own live podcast event on Saturday, I had the privilege of joining a group of powerful women as a guest panelist on Sunday morning for #ShowUpJefa VIP, a live podcast and networking experience that was nothing short of extraordinary!

#ShowUpJefa is a one-day networking experience in Southern California that fosters connection, offers expert insight, and encourages engaging conversation between Latina entrepreneurs (affectionately knows as “Jefas”), complete with a host of locally curated vendors (including cafecito ☕️). The event, hosted by Kita Zuleta, founder of Cafecito Con Jefa’s and a digital strategy mastermind, created an ambiance that was truly unique.

Upon entering the two-story building of the Grey LB in Downtown Los Angeles, I was filled with excitement and curiosity. The room buzzed with the sounds of music, uplifting voices, and the click of high heels as women mingled, exchanging conversations and exploring the beautifully curated space. As I navigated through the crowd, the aroma of coffee filled the air, bringing with it an unexpected sense of comfort. Everywhere I looked, women were smiling, sharing, and thoroughly enjoying each moment. They were open-minded, as eager to share their ideas as they were to receive new ones. That was the moment I realized this wasn’t going to be an uncomfortable experience, akin to a girl searching for her seat at the lunch table on the first day of school. I knew then that this was a space where women felt safe and welcomed to share their journeys together.

Later, I found myself seated next to three incredible women, Raquel Nava of Caffe Todo Mujer, Yvonne Armenia of Chats With Yvonne, and Kita Zuleta, the incredible host of Cafecito Con Jefas herself! Being a part of her live podcast panel was such an honor, and we had an absolute blast discussing our entrepreneurship journey and the power of community.

I can't even begin to express how inspired I am after connecting with some truly amazing jefas who are making a real difference in our community. 🙌 The energy in that room was electric, and it's moments like these that remind me why I love what I do! 💖
