HOW TO PRIORITIZE SELF CARE IN THE FLAMES OF BURNOUT

Example 1: Rest and Recharge

Give yourself permission to rest and rejuvenate. Allow yourself moments of  stillness, relaxation, and deep restorative sleep. Remember, self-care is not selfish —it’s essential for your physical, emotional, and mental well-being. 

Schedule dedicated downtime for relaxation and self-reflection. Engage in activities that bring you joy and recharge your energy. Practice self-compassion and release any guilt associated with taking care of  yourself. 

Example 2: Setting Boundaries 

Establish clear boundaries to protect your energy and prioritize your needs. Learn  to say ‘no’ when necessary, delegate tasks, and create space for yourself without  feeling guilty. Your well-being matters, and setting boundaries is an act of self love. 

Say ‘no’ to commitments that drain your energy and add to your stress. Communicate your boundaries assertively and without apologies. Surround yourself with people who respect and support your boundaries. 

Example 3: Seeking Support 

Reach out for support when needed. Whether it’s from trusted friends, family, or  professionals, seeking help is a sign of strength. Connect with those who  understand your journey and can provide guidance and encouragement.
